Role Overview

As the Payroll and HR Administrator at Crown Flooring, you will report directly to the Finance Director and play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of our Head Office. Your primary responsibilities will encompass managing weekly and monthly payroll processes, overseeing comprehensive HR administration, and actively supporting the growth and development of our dedicated team.

This pivotal role combines technical expertise in payroll administration with broader HR responsibilities, requiring a versatile skill set and a keen attention to detail. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to evolve into an HR Generalist/Advisor as our business expands.

 

Key Responsibilities

1.           Payroll Processing:

·     Collate and input payroll data into Sage software and process payroll weekly and monthly.

·     Ensure accuracy and compliance with UK payroll legislation.

2.           Benefits Administration:

·     Assist in administering employee benefits, including pensions and health insurance.

·     Manage enrolment, changes, and terminations in benefit plans in compliance with UK regulations.

3.           HR Administration:

·     Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems, adhering to regulations

·     Support onboarding, offboarding, right to work checks, and exit interviews.

·     Prepare payroll, benefits, and HR reports for internal and statutory purposes.

·     Manage holiday and absence recording.

4.           Compliance and Reporting:

·     Stay updated on UK payroll legislation, employment laws, and HMRC requirements.

·     Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, P60s, P11Ds, and other regulatory reports.

·     Assist with internal and external audits.

5.           Employee Relations:

·     Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policies.

·     Collaborate with management to address and resolve employee concerns.

·     Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

6.           Support Software Upgrade:

·     Assist with the implementation and upgrade of payroll/HR systems.

7.           Support Recruitment:

·     Advertise job roles on Indeed, LinkedIn, and the Crown Flooring website.

 

Requirements

 

Essential:

·       Sage 50 Payroll experience.

·       Previous experience in an administrative role.

·       Strong team orientation.

·       Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.

·       Exceptional attention to detail.

·       Organised and methodical approach.

·       Excellent communication skills in English.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

 

Desirable:

·       CIPD level 3 qualification.

·       Experience supporting managers with Employee Relations (ER) case work.
